About Us

Nisqually Construction Services (formerly WHH Nisqually Federal Services) is a tribally-owned small business that combines the construction expertise and experience of the Nisqually Indian Tribe with that of the former Walsh, Hedlund and Harlow Construction firm. With numerous successfully completed projects in a variety of construction types, we can provide an unsurpassed experience while providing the ultimate in project quality, integrity and leadership.​

Our team is comprised of experienced and licensed engineers and industry professionals who have worked throughout the Pacific Northwest on projects ranging from commercial and government facilities to urban transit construction, airport runways, tunnels, bridges, fuel systems and site development. Using our established project management procedures we are able to provide our customers with the highest level of construction.

Bob Iyall, Chairman and CEO

Mr. Iyall has 38 years of experience in the construction industry. He is a proven leader who has successfully completed dozens of projects from residential to commercial high-rise buildings as a superintendent and project manager. He has completed numerous projects for the Department of Defense on Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Naval Bases Bangor, Bremerton, and Everett. As a Nisqually tribal member, representing the majority owner group, Mr. Iyall is fully committed to providing a quality product that will meet and exceed the owner’s expectations.

Damon Oatmon, General Manager

Mr. Iyall has 38 years of experience in the construction industry. He is a proven leader who has successfully completed dozens of projects from residential to commercial high-rise buildings as a superintendent and project manager. Karl Hedlund, PE, Operations Manager

Mr. Hedlund has nearly 30 years of construction and construction management experience in a wide variety of structural, building, infrastructure, heavy site/civil, and transportation arenas, including new construction, renovation, and rehabilitation. Mr. Hedlund has significant experience with alternative construction contract delivery methods including design build and GC/CM approaches.
